Blonde moments from the last few days

Sorry that I’ve temporarily abandoned this blog. I’ve been setting my sisters and I up with a team blog. Check it out. http://Stillmangirls.blogspot.com.

So here’s the blonde moment of the day. I was in Chicago for work. I usually get to the airport at about 7 am, which gives me an hour and a half before my flight. I got my e-ticket, kissed Josh good-bye and headed towards the gate. I usually don’t look at the ticket time. Boy, should I ever, though. So, there I am, sitting at my gate when my name is called. It turns out my flight was canceled and the airline did me the favor of putting me on the earlier flight, which was about to take off. And there I was, just sitting at the gate reading “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.” (More Jonathan Edwards commentary another time.) Yup, that was just a dumb move. Not checking the time, I mean; reading Jonathan Edwards is a good thing.

Well, I got there and back safely, so I’m OK.

Also, my toothbrush is possessed. This time, I only brought a carry on since I was just going to be gone overnight. And usually, the x-ray machines kill the toothbrush battery. (If you don’t have dental coverage, battery operated toothbrushes rock.) I was pleasantly surprised when brushing my teeth in the hotel before bed. The toothbrush battery was fine. So, after my morning meeting, I hopped on the El and went to O’Hare. All of the sudden, my bag started vibrating. So, I think, ‘Cell phone.’ Nope, the cell was off. And the stupid bag was still vibrating. It was the toothbrush. So, I hit the button a few times and it shuts off. And it goes off every 15 minutes between the ride to O’Hare and 10 minutes after take off. Now the battery is dead. So, I’m charging it.

And there is my traveling story.
